It was said at the time of her retirement that “Louise devotion to the ministry of this church is unequaled”. Louise retired in 1994 as the Secretary of Washington Pike Church where she served for seventeen years. She was the oldest living member of Washington Pike United Methodist Church where she became a member in 1927 and she was a longtime member of the Christian Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was born October 8, 1918, in Norfolk, Virginia, and moved to her current home at the age of 5 years old where she lived until the time of her passing. Louise Gladys George Rhea, age 103, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday July 16, 2022.
